By Teri Emerson Arts Evangelica is a Christian performing arts group who exists to reclaim the arts for the glory of God. It's not just free-form modern dance. Students learn actual dance steps and proper terms as taught in other dance classes. There are three skill levels at the Arts Evangelica as well as classes in drama and music. There are also various locations. When students graduate from the highest level, they hope to tour with Christian dance and drama troupes to carry the message of the gospel to places that other ministries may not reach. Members of Arts Evangelica dance teams performed at our Talent Night this year. The older girls' class consisted of homeschoolers Whitney Anderson, Amy Clithero, Melodie Moorefield, and Ruth Parker; former homeschoolers Emily Freeland and Lisa Molenda; and also Christina Baker and Yunik Patillo. The little girls' class (6-8 year olds) are: Kristen Bradley, Jessa Hanson, Rachel Parker, Kaitlin Postma, Rachel Stone, Emily Worsham, Olivia Worsham, April Moorefield, Taylor Smith, Erin Hull, and Ashley Allison. |
